Swollen stomach from shingles attack

I developed a bad case of shingles two months ago. I've been left with pain where the shingles were and also a swollen stomach on the left-hand side.  Xray and cat scan were negative. Has anyone else had this problem?

I went to the doctor, had more blood tests and am now waiting to have an ultrasound on my abdomen after Christmas. Hopefully will know something then.

You may get two replies, sorry.  I thought I had replied but nothing showed up on site.Thanks for your help. Doctors in hospital and my GP did not seem too worried. But I am. Going back on Friday. Will keep you informed.

Sometimes the motor system of the nerves can get affected in herpes zoster leading to muscle weakness and also herniation(in case of abdomen), though rarely.
