Well....... weekends are temptation island. That's when most people plan birthday parties and my MIL cooks on Sunday. She cooks healthy stuff... BUT she cooks everything in loads of butter. So portion control is the key when going over there on Sunday.

Tonight DH and I are going out for the first time in months so hoping to not over-do it.

This particular Sunday is a birthday lunch, complete with German Chocolate cake. *SIGH* I'm actually really good about eating good. The problem is offending someone if I don't eat everything, so a small bite of everything works.

The hardest thing for me about weekends is I am missing the walk to and from school twice a day -  it is 3.5 miles in total there and back twice....Being a single Mum with a 4 year old at home makes it hard to incorperate outdoor exercise on a weekend that is going to burn many calories. Also I cant get to the gym on a weekend.

Oh and then there is the fact that with little one home 24/7 over the weekend there is more snacking going on.... I can't deprive her of her goodies totally... and oohh they smell and look soooo good...lol

So far I have been good -  this being the third weekend of the New Me Program! But weekends are harder than weekdays.

I've been thinking about this since I saw it earlier, trying to think about what is really true for me.  I don't actually know.  I have such a good routine during the week of driving a route, going to the Y, and then driving another route and then home for lunch.  Well, until windchills cancel school one day and delay school for 2 hours the next!

BUT, I'm learning better how to gauge if I'm really hungry.  So, when I'm less active on the weekends, I am tending to eat less.  I was careful to say I am LEARNING to do this, because I have NOT perfected it yet.  But just the fact that it has begun to be true is amazing me.  I no longer dread the weekends because I can not control myself.

Now that I opened my big mouth, this weekend will probably be horrible!!!

I'm fine either way - unemployed right now so weekends are no different.  However, I am more likely to entertain company or go to someone else's place on a weekend and the challenge is to not overdo it when that occurs.

I agree i like the structure of the weekdays and sometimes the weekends are hard but im pretty comfortable so thats what i put!! K this is the issues with me, me and DH we share a truck with my brother so we alternate weekends on whos taking it and going where so of course when its mine and DH's turn we go out we go shopping go eat somewhere maybe a movie whatever so if we do go to eat then is when i struggle cus i do treat myself per say to whatever i want!! I still manange to stay on track though but i always try to get in xtra cardio too if i can cus i dont want to gain weight cus of a cheeseburger!! I also put comfortable cus right now me and dh we are NOT going out his job is slow and we have to our $$ for bills so i guess thats good in the matter i am NOT eating fast food!!

I can control what I eat on the weekend better than I can at work. At work there are parties in our office all the time for someone's bday or wedding shower or anniversary with the company. Then the whole company has a YES Rally once a month and food galore at all these events, including sweets. How can you resist. People look at me weird if I don't participate either. I defiantely prefer the safety of my own home.

The weekends are pretty easy for me because I work 7p-7a on Saturday and Sunday so most of the day is spent sleeping.  I pack my lunch for work so I can control what I eat and snack on.  The cafeteria food is horrible and expensive.  I don't really get to exercise on the weekends but hit the gym during the week.
