Chihuahua Whining
So I have this little 4 year old Chihuahua/Pom mix, 2/3 Chi and 1/3 Pom I've had her since she was a puppy but lately shes been doing this whining thing. She just sits there and whines staring at me. Either on the Flore and she wont let me pick her up and put her on the couch with me. When I finally her her on the couch with me she just sites there whining at me. Shes got kibble in her bowl and water she get treats when ever she wants really. But it's not her treat cry it's like shes crying for no reason. It's driving me batty I've tried being nice and firm nothing seems to be working.

Oh Yes...one more thing.... If there are no blankets in the room that I am sitting in, my Chihuahua will whine until I get him one...! Boy, has he got me trained!

My Chihuahua will whine when he is cold. I also had another Chihuahua that would do the same thing. I keep blankets around the house, so my dog can burrow under them if he needs too. Sometimes he has a hard time fluffing the blanket enough so he can get under it, and will whine until I help him.
I also have a terrier mix that loves to sleep under blankets.
Give a blanket a try....it may be just the thing that will make your dog happy.
If that doesn't work, then maybe your dog just wants some attention, maybe she wants to play...? Or maybe she is in pain...? She is obviously trying to tell you something.... I hope you figure it out soon.... Let me know how the blanket works.
