I would have taken my dog(s) to the vet yesterday. If it is bloat and isn't caught early - no vet can help your dog. Whether or not she'd be walking around I don't know. Some dogs tend to hide their illness.
My dogs mean so much to me, I'd rather spend the time and money to take them to the vet. We lost a dog to bloat a few years ago because the receptionist took too much time "processing" him - that's how fast bloat can strike.
You knew she was ok but came on here because you were concerned. Makes perfect sense to me...........
I don't understand why people have pets when they aren't willing to get them help when needed.
Flea products generally cause neurological problems. I've seen it in cats and dogs who are dipped or have been shampood with flea soap followed by slapping on a flea collar. Their pupils get hugely dilated and they can't control their movements. It can be fatal if the products aren't washed off the dog in time. Where flea and tick treatments are concerned, more is not better.
I really wish you would take your dog to a vet. If she does have a severe case of worms, you'll need a prescription strength wormer to take care of it. Speculating on the cause of her symptoms won't get you anywhere for long. She may recover from this illness all by herself, but if there is an underlying serious condition it's going to come back. The longer you wait the more expensive it may get to treat. Hopefully you've dodged a bullet this time.
shes fine..not well.... but walking around, not playing yet...looks like she has worms really bad, but she hasn't eaten in 2 days. I've been at work all day so she might have eaten today, but I doubt it...I'll try to feed later and keep posted...do you think that the flea med's could have made her sick if she licked some off herself....I bet that's what it was, I gave her a bath yesterday and now she's getting better....
What happened?!! How is your dog today?
Well...if it is bloat, tomorrow will be too late.
I hope it is not. Best of luck.
we dont have a vet that close it will take me a day at lease to get her to the vet.....
Yes! This sounds like a serious, serious emergency called bloat. She can die from this if it is untreated for more than a few hours, once the stomach starts to swell.
She needs to go to an emergency vet IMMEDIATELY. This minute.
