Odd because I have been fighting vertigo for about 3 weeks a d I have had my nosed pierced that long which is why I found your post because I was wondering the same thing..right side pierced a d I get vertigo if I look up to the right or down to the right or turn over on my right side.....and my left ear is the one with the eustacion tube dysfunction...riddle me that
I also get dizzy and I get a gnawing whenever I have a nose ring on. I had suffered ear infections when I was a child but it's been decades since it's recurred. The dizziness and headache is so perturbing because my piercing healed way back in 1998. It's just crazy. I love nose pins so. :-(
did removing the piecing help the dizziness? having the same problem - unsure if its related! please help
Hi there,
My sister has been having the exact same experience for over last two years in episodes of vertigo setting off and when we traced back, it was the same time as when she had her piercing done on the left nostril. Its so much of a coincidence that even she suffers from the same left ear mild hearing deficiency since childhood.
But despite of all tests, medical examinations, it was always attributed to being vestibular neuronitis. However, today while I browse the net, I find your post and I went ahead and removed my sister's piercing while she is in the hospital. She hasn't had vertigo since but its only been few hours.
Did you ever find a resolution? This is a 8 year old post I realize. But hoping over hopes.
What happened with this? Had severe onset of vertigo 2 days after nostril piercing but not sure if they are actually related!
I recently had a nose piercing and I'm suffering vertigo continually started about three days after the pierce. I started antibiotics cause I thought I had an infection and it hasn't changed.
I think it is just guilt by association myself.
did you tilt your head back or any strange head movement when you were putting in the ring?
Hi "Me." :) Most likely no one responded because no one saw your post who could tell you anything useful.
I've never heard of a piercing setting off vertigo, and it seems extremely highly unlikely. (I can't imagine how it would happen.) It must be just a coincidence.
I would think that if there WERE any connection, you would have had vertigo immediately after the piercing.
I know very well that feeling of trying to figure out, "Now WHAT could have caused me to get dizzy?" You think about EVERYTHING that you've done, eaten, etc., and you feel that there MUST be some reason, some connection... but often it turns out that you simply can't figure out any definite connection.
Sounds like a trip back to your ear doctor is in order!
Best of luck... dizziness stinks. :)

Why hasn't anyone responded? LOL - I'm going crazy over here!
