IV therapy or not

I hv had ear infection since before Xmas. Been on course of antibiotic for several weeks no results. Been diagnosed with pseudo ear go for ct scan tomorrow. I am 49 yrs old with long history with ear. Dr has recommended I've therapy... Antibiotics are making so I am functional. Am going on trip in USA with parents for one week. Do I cancel trip and go to hospital or just suck it up and go. Thank you

Thank you...hv appt with infectious control doc tomorrow, he said we will start I've therapy immediately

Only your doctor can give you a knowledgeable answer.

If you can live with the discomfort and you doctor gives an okay, the decision is up to you based on your personal discomfort verses benefit of the trip.
