Ear cracking/popping

Whenever I hear a loud sound my left ear makes a snapping sort of spasm sound which i have had off and on for 6 years. I have also recently developed issues with my ear/s popping when i swallow which is getting so annoying. i dont feel any pain. or pressure.

- Eustachian tube dysfunction

Sounds like you possibly have a problem with muscle(s) dysfunction! Consider a consultation with an ENT!

Yes, it could be a lot of things, but given you young age I don't think it is spinal cord degeneration... my first thought.  I hears sounds, creaks and pops, but I am 3 times your age, my cartilage is failing.

I'd try cleaning my ears... I like hydrogen peroxide right out of the bottle  I lay on one side and use a syringe to put the hydrogen peroxide in the upside ear.  I lay and take the tickle and bubbling noise for at least 5 minutes then drain the ear into a paper towel or sink.  I may use the syringe to flush the ear with warm water, and I often use a Q-tip to clean out wax.  I believe use of a Q-tip is not generally recommended, but I do it.
