This is rediculous

I have Chronic Bronchitis every year... i am a social smoker. easy to quit.  i do it every time i get this. but my job... i cant miss work or i wont make bills on time..  I work with Spray Paint, Regular Paint, and Stainer.... i am also the one that sands down the messed up wood...after reading everything on Bronchitis and prevention, exposure, treatment, etc..   I wear a respirator at all times in the shop... its not helping. my question is ;what else can i do to prevent any dust and crap from getting in my lungs?
