I'm a big believer in second opinions.  The  more brains working on a problem the better.  Chronic sinus infections are painful and can become dangerous.  I'm sure dealing with this has taken its toll on you all.

Is the anatomy of his sinuses being linked to it?  My husband had a sinus infection for about 3 months straight a couple of years ago---  sinuses above his eyes are anatomically a bit unusual which was associated with the issue.

I do think it is a good idea to get a second opinion at this point. It will either confirm you are on the right path or give you new ones to try.  good luck

They have tried all kinds of antibiotics. Even clyndomicin (sp). That one is to treat fungil sinus infections, rather than bacterial sinus infections. We are waiting for them to send us an nebulizer so he can do in home antibiotic treatments for the staff infection. He is on bactirm right now just for the bacterial sinus infection. He has been on that for almost a month now. Just getting really irritated that they aern't finding the cause of these chronic sinus infections. Almost ready to take him for a second opinion.

Has he been on a high dose antibiotic?  Sometimes with sinus infections, treatment happens enough to make symptoms go away but not eradicate the infection.  What types of medication have they tried?
