Hi
Just check your adenoids. Debris can also form in the adenoids and contribute to bad breath just like the tonsils. See your ENT about the adenoids.
Drastic brought up a good point. I forgot to mention, that when I got my tonsils removed, the surgeon removed the adenoid as well as a "package deal". So as Drastic said, you may want to consult your ENT about that if you consider getting the tonsils removed. Better to have everything done at once and be done with it.
we ate some noodles and now they are stuck in the nose throat. we need to get it out because noodles dont dissolve. should we snort some chicken broth?
Gargle with warm salt water daily & also the saline warm water solution for your sinuses as an irrigation.
Also a good natural solution is to est tiny bits of fresh parsley.
***NEVER *** place anything in the throat area to try to dislodge particles that you could accidentally drop & aspirate into the airway or swallow into the esophagus ! then you will have a medical emergency !

Hi there,
I'm writing from Turkey/Asia. I read all the thread and I feel better (unfotunately) to see other people having the same problem with me. I'm suffering this terrible situation more than 8 years (I'm 31 now). Besides the general definitions (like stucking of small food particles and bad smell of breath) I will try to explain some more observations I had for me. In the first place, my food stucking is happening only through the right side of my throat. I guess in my case they stuck through the adenoid. I'm almost sure that this is due to a physiological or muscle disorder. I mean somehow my swallowing process cannot get all the food down so some small particles are leaking into an unwanted place through the eustachian tube opening (adenoids area). Second, It is no matter what I have eaten, every kind of food stucks almost during every meal. The important thing is that, the removal time and the degree of discomfort is higher with the kind of food you mentioned: peanuts, rice, mince meat etc. Such food cannot dissolve easily and I feel them strongly during the day. Soften type food is dissolved and dissappeared or easily removed from the throat in a few hours when i drink water etc.
Another interesting symptom about my case is the dysfunctioning of right eustachian tube if so much food is stuck in my throat. I couldn't figure out exact relation between them but when i struggle and remove the food somehow (usually i'm not able to) my eustachian tube becomes normal. My complaint about the e tube is that i feel my breath in my ear. I think that my right e tube becomes steadily open state. This is very very frustrating experience and concentration to anything is almost impossible when it happens.
I went to ENT Dr e few times but none of them could analyze the symptoms and give any treatment or advise.
Some more observations and advices:
As far as I could be able to remove the food throughout the day I don't suffer any pain from these situations. But if a strictly stucking case happens and if I have several meals after and after it. A few days later I start to feel some pain (and sometimes the e tube problems).
Two good practices that I have discovered are: (I don't know how to explain easily :) Try to remove the food with a powerful -cough like- action very early in the morning (before the first swallow when you wake up) It realy works. Because while you are sleeping foods become in a different position especially if you snore etc. Every swallow during the day results a bit more stucking. The second practice is that; swallow carefully (during the meal especialy). Put your head down (as looking down your foot) while swallowing.
Other practices: Do not gobble much. Eat only your regular meals and between them only do drink.
And please try to find a Doc or a group of researcher who is making research on this subject. I'm very wellcome any other opinions or advices.
Thank you..
