Thank you for that feedback. What I have discovered is that my condition is called Silent Reflux, which is when the stomach acid comes up in to the esophagus and irritates the throat area such as my larynx. Its called silent cause I dont feel the acid heartburn in my chest, just the preassure / issue in my throat. that is why i didnt know what was causing it I did make life style changes and stayed on Nexium 40mg once at night before bed. and i made sure to do everything like avoid acidic foods, and didnt eat food 3hrs before bed and elevated my upper body with 3 pillows. After doing this it took 3 days and along with stretching my neck muscles (both sides and front for 10min everyday when i felt more preassure) it helped out extremely! I feel like it is almost not there anymore. JUST fyi for anyone reading this, understand that I eat approx every 3hrs due to bodybuilding and I exercise at least 1 time a day for 5days a week, not including cardio. So when i had this feeling in my throat and always feeling like i need to clear my throat cause something felt like it was constantly stuck in it. I originally thought this was a muscle strain in my throat, but noticed that foods and carbonated drinks like energy drinks irritated it. When i did research and contacted 2 of my ENT's along with the above adivce and was told to not eat big meals, it startled me. But not eatting was not an option to me, but again they said not big meals, so what i did do though is limit my carbs and fatty foods and all other foods that new 2013 research has shown to cause GERD / Heartburn / Acid Reflux. and eat more frequently but small meals. All this helped me out and hope this info helps someone else out. PS: I had a CT scan with and w/out contrast, blood work to show auto-immune disease and also a scope, everything came back negative besides the scope showing my throat was inflamed. Hi, your symptoms could be due to GERD (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease), where the acid contents of the stomach came up into the esophagus. Since medications don't seem to be helping much why don't you try life style measures? Take frequent small meals. Eat dinner about two hours before sleeping. Elevate the head end of the bed. Keep a food diary and note down what aggravates your symptoms and avoid them. Ensure to maintain optimum weight by regular exercise. Avoid non steroidal anti inflammatory medications NSAID's, quit smoking, eliminate alcohol and reduce stress levels. These measures need to be practiced long term for results. Hope this helps!!
