i am very fortunate , the ringing is gone! well for now at least. i think it was the doxycycline , once i got off it the ringing stopped , and im glad your son does not notice it, it is very bothersome
It could be from any ,collapse ear drum, the antibiotic, and the meds . So many things can cause tinnitus . My son was left with ringing in one ear, from a ear infection. Never went away ,it's been two years . It did lighten up to a low ring . He says doesn't bother him . But he does worry if it will get worst . I hope yours goes away .
Hi, tinnitus could be related to the collapsed ear drum, as middle ear infections can cause tinnitus. As this infection resolves the tinnitus should subside. It may not be related to medication intake. Intermittent periods of mild, high-pitched tinnitus lasting for several minutes are common in normal hearing persons. Since your problem has been of a recent origin probably due to a throat infection, it may be a temporary phenomenon. Regards.
