Pain after laparoscopy

I wondered if anyone who had had a laparoscopy could tell me how long it hurt for.

I still feel quite alot of pain when walking after a week and wondered if that is normal, as everywhere I read that people resume normal activities after a couple of days.

I am not doubled up or anything, its just like having a constant stitch, and when i take a step, especially around my belling button there is a kind of sharp tugging pain. Also some stabbing pains too that just seem to happn even when sitting still.

Just wanted to know if this is usual, I expcet it is, but thought I would ask others who had had similar, who might tell me how long until the abdomen feels normal again.

Thanks

I was told I will have a vaginal discharge after the surgery but I bled more than what was told because it was my period at that time too... I still have pain in my belly especially when I stand and walk for too long but it is tolerable enough...

Do you have a gynecologist? They specialize more on this field than GPs... If you are bleeding too much... I think going to the ER is a good idea... Goodluck dear!

I had laparoscopic surgery 2 wks ago due to ovarian cysts... everything went well on the first day until after a week... I started to feel tissue-tearing/ripping under my skin on my belly...I had my follow-up check up 3 days ago and my OBgyn prescribed me some antibiotics for 10 days coz he told me that I have a mild inflammation maybe because I had endometriosis...but nothing too serious... I thought the pain will get better as soon as I take the meds but I can still feel the pain when I put pressure on my belly...

I hope the pain will soon be gone because things are getting busier for me since school started already and my kids need a healthy mother... :)

I just under went a
OVARIAN CYSTECTOMY/laparoscopy due to a dermoid cyst inside my left ovary (softball size)Exactly 10 days ago... I'm 26, day 2 after surgery recovering at home I felt a uncomfortable pressure on my left side lower abdominal region, feels like its coming from behind my rib cage area. I developed a fever 4 days ago, in which I saw my doctor, she said not to worry, the discomfort could be muscle related? My temp. Was 100.3, she prescribed antibiotics just incase. I've been taking them, fever broke yesterday, Body feels fine, but still have this pressure discomfort on my left side from my belly button, does not want to go away at all. Very uncomfortable. Even pain meds cannot take the discomfort away....could this be more then muscle related?? Maybe enlarge Spleen? Is this also possible? I'm unsure. Any help, thank you.
