19 year old with ED issues

I am a 19 year old student with erection issues.  Just a little background: I smoked for 3 years from age 15-18 about half a pack a day.  At the same time i smoked about a half gram of marijuana a day for 2 years from 16-18 and currently smoke about a half gram a week.  I also have used drugs such as shrooms, cocaine, and ketamine but not a regular basis.  I also binge drink about 1/2 times a week since i was 15.  I also masturbated about 2-3 times a day when i was younger for multiple years consecutively.

I am having erection issues but am not sure exactly what the problem is.  I have realized since last year that my erections were not as hard with my previous girlfriend.  I did still achieve an erection but they were not very strong.  Also, when I was younger (in my preteens) my erection was approximately 5 1/2 inches - 7 inches based on how excited i was.  Currently, I am VERY LUCKY if i have an erection that reaches 5 1/2 inches.

I can achieve erections when I masturbate by myself but these erections last for very short time durations.  When I am with my current girlfriend, I cannot receive an erection without stimulation.  I can get my penis to move a little but it is not even close to an erection.  It just gets enlarged, but is still very flaccid.

I have been having anxiety issues recently, but I have no idea if this is the pure cause of my problems because my erections seem to not be as strong even when I am alone.  Also my erections do not last a very long time, maybe 15-30 seconds without stimulation.

Please help me or give me some input on this problem.

It's unusual to have ED at such a young age. The facxt that you even have trouble maintaining an erection when masturbating discounts anxiety as an issue,
Have you used a lot of porn in the recent past? Unless you have an undiagnosed medical disorder, overstimulation from porn is the usual suspect in your age group.

Here's some recent research:

Scientists: Too Much Internet Porn May Cause Impotence

Published February 25, 2011 | NewsCore
It may not make you go blind, but Italian scientists have identified a worrying side-effect of watching too much pornography.

Researchers said Thursday that young men who indulge in "excessive consumption" of Internet porn gradually become immune to explicit images, the ANSA news agency reported.

Over time, this can lead to a loss of libido, impotence and a notion of sex that is totally divorced from real-life relations.

"It starts with lower reactions to porn sites, then there is a general drop in libido and in the end it becomes impossible to get an erection," said Carlo Foresta, head of the Italian Society of Andrology and Sexual Medicine (SIAM).

His team drew their conclusions from a survey of 28,000 Italian men which revealed that many became hooked on porn as early as 14, exhibiting symptoms of so-called "sexual anorexia" by the time they reached their mid-twenties.

There was some good news, however, as the condition was not necessarily permanent. "With proper assistance recovery is possible within a few months," Foresta said.

Other data presented at the SIAM'S annual conference in Rome suggested that Germans are the biggest consumers of online porn in Europe, with 34.5 percent of internet users logging on to watch smut.

France ranked second (33.6 percent), ahead of Spain (32.4 percent) and Italy (28.9 percent).

Strees can play a major role in all of this - when ever my partner is under a huge amount of stress, he has similar sexual problems. He did go through to his doctor to discuss it, and his doctor gave him a script for Cealis, it is similar to Viagra, but has far less side effects and the erection is easier to control.

My partner only ever uses this pill when he is under major stress and would still like to perform at top level sexualy.

So speak to your doc about it, once you learn to control your stress levels, your pboelm will go away

I believe anxiety may contribute to this issue but does it explain the fact that I cannot achieve an erection for a long period of time even when I am alone?

I also am having problems with premature ejaculation recently.  When I was 16 years old and lost my virginity, I was able to have sex for up to an hour, sometimes even longer with no problems.  Now I ejaculate prematurely most of the time.  Is there any correlation between ED and premature ejaculation?

Anxiety can play a very big part in mens sexual stamina - any form of stress can hamper performace.

I also think the drug use is affecting you, any form of drug has been knowen to effect a persons labido, especially men and their erections. So maybe you need to reconsider the amount of drugs you use, and what you use.

If you are genraly unfit, this can also make the blood flow to the penis restricted, and cause problems, so maybe partaking in some light excersie will do you some good. and will also help strengthen your lungs and get more oxygen into your blood stream which benifits the body as a whole.
If you want to maintain a healthy sexual life, you need to take better care of yourself.
