I got a new pair of glasses against nearsightedness (so I can see better at a distance). It's strength is -5.50 or so.
The thing is, I most often do stuff that needs a good vision at close range, e.g. reading a screen, typing, so office work.
Question is, will reading at this close range with the glasses intended for distances "damage" my eyes? So will my eyes get lazy or "overcorrected" as I look at close targets with the strong glasses?
Truth be told, I was using the old glasses for reading or anything close range, but it's focus is not for my eyes anymore, it made my eyes strain even when using artificial tears.
Thanks~
