I have one and I am very happy quality of vision is very good in spite of retinal problems. BTW it is Crystalens HD or Crystalens AO.
Dr. O.
I was under the impression that the AO was the next generation of, or an addition to the HD line. No?
Do you have satisfactory far, mid, and up-close vision with the aforementioned lens?
Thanks for your answer Dr. Ray.
So as the Crystalens HD has an additive of 1.5D it is also a bifocal lens!?
Crystalens HD (HD500) has a small dimple in the center-some argue this makes it a partial multifocal). This lens was not as succesful as the AT50SE. It was more sensitive to residual astigmatism and many doctors stopped using it and returned to the AT50SE. The AT50AO (aspheric) is the AT50SE with aspheric optics. Aspheric optics are an advantage in low light conditions when the pupil dilates. Some argue that in bright light condition that results in small pupils there is no advantage to aspheric optic. Aspheric optics are used in cameras, microscopes, etc.
