Should pupils be dilated before biometry

I had my biometry with dilated pupils but while doing some research on the figures found some articles discussing the effect of dilation on results.

It appears some machines and systems for IOL calculation can be affected slightly by this so I am wondering what is the norm and for any other input.

As long as an office does it the same for all their patients it shouldn't make a difference. Even if some were dilated and other not the difference in IOL power would be much smaller than the amount IOLs differ which is 0.25 diopters
