Does anyone know if there is any cure or treatment for HPPD? I'm not 100% sure if I have it or not, but I see strange colors 24/7 which appear to be a kaleidoscope of "Colored Static". I also have a horrible daze-like feeling 24/7. Thanks, I greatly appreciate it!!!! :)

If this wasn't triggered by drugs then technically you cant be diagnosed with HDDP. Your symptoms sounds very similar though and the daze-like feeling could be what is called derealization. There isn't really a 'cure', I've had HPPD symptoms for a year and a half after a bad drug experience, but there have been some really promising results with the drug Keppra recently, seems to have helped a lot of people and is not habit forming and rarely causes side effects. Apart from that, maybe try some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you accept the symptoms and not freak out about them because that makes it worse trust me.

The cure is none, even the probibility is very hard to find out, the only medications that have been proven to reduce the effects are benzodiazepines(spelling ?) like Claumazopam(spelling?) Valum, Klaunopins(spelling?) ive done alot of research on hppd because i also have the disorder in seeing static and walls bending with patterning on carpets and walls etc., but also if u feel like ur in a daze 24/7 that also means u have developed derealization in which at times you kinda feel like ur in a dream, u may also have desencitization(spelling?) which means at times its hard to tell where ur body ends and where your sourounding enviroment begins..., hppd is a disorder that very little research has been done on because of how it effects the human mind, it dosnt occure in alot of patiants either so that could also be a contributing factor

im not so sure theres a cure...but it camn go away soon or last a little while..its technically supposed to wear down..it could last weeks months years or maybe for your life...it is kinda scary actually **** that i freaked the **** out for like six months before i found out what it was...you kinda just gotta keep living and problly dont take anymore psycs...the horrible daze probly is depersonalizatiomn from your anxiety...**** sux but youll live its not gonna stop you from doing anything you ever wanted...it will just make you a stronger ,more aware i and intelligent person..your gunna be fine...just look at it positivly as hard as that may be..it is posssible...but you should definetly talk to your doc. to find out if you even have hppd.

Why is no one answering my question? It is really worrying me as I have had an ERG done and it came back with abnormal results. My doctors act like they don't know what is causing those so I'm trying to find answers myself. I have looked up causes on the internet of my symptoms and HPPD came up, I don't know if that is what I have or not, but my symptoms are very similar according to the photos. Please respond, I can't stand seeing a kaleidoscope of colors in front of my vision 24/7 as well as that horrible daze feeling I have 24/7. Thanks!

Is it true that you can get it without doing any kind of drugs? Just wondering, because I have never did any and I have been having these problems for years now. It seems like this condition best describes what I am going through. Thanks! :)
