Hi all:
I have a question: Can an optomologist diagnose papilledema? Or do I need to see an opthamologist?
The reason why I am asking is because I suspect I may have Intracranial Hypertension, and -- although I don't know if I have it or not -- papilledema is one of the symptoms commonly associated with this condition.
I saw my optomologist and when she dilated my eyes, she said everything looked normal. Also: my visual field was good, along with my peripheral vision. Can I have papilledema and not know it?
I have an appt. with a neurologist on 15 April to find the source of my headaches.
Thanks a bunch!
