SHIFTED LENS AFTER CATARACT SURGERY??

Hi,

I had cataract surgery on my left eye just four days ago (Wednesday, 13Feb). Without thinking on Friday night I rubbed my eyes and immediately felt the lens.  I think I scratched my eye with the lens, rubbing it too hard.  Now tonight (Saturday, 16Feb) I noticed that square objects appears oblong and round, circular objects appear oval.  What initially appeared as straight vision now seems crossed.  My question: is this just a sign of my eye healing, or did I inadvertently move the lens and now I need to get to the doctor on Monday?

Thanks for your response.  I have a call into the answering service.   I hope this doesn't mean I'll have to have another surgery.  *sigh*

Yes, I was given a clear shield to put over my eye while I was asleep.  But this happened when I was still awake.  :(

By all means return to the Eye MDs office on monday for an exam and I would call the answering service now.

Didn't they give you a hard plastic shell to tape to your eye at night while you sleep to prevent exactly this from happening? I can tell you only from my own experience that this is not normal during the healing process.
