Vertigo after Strabismus Surgery

I am not finding much online about vertigo, dizziness, fatigue, nausea after strabismus surgery. I am 41 and 9 day post op. I am having all the above systems and don’t know if this is normal or not, especially after 9 days. Any information would be helpful please.

Among the important factors: What age did your eyes get out of alignment, have you had surgery before, what muscles were operated on, what was the preoperative problem: crossed eyes (esotrophia)  wall eyes (exotrophia)   vertical problems,  etc.  So I cannot give you specific information.

Most eye muscle surgery is done on infants, and very young children where this is not much of a problem. In adults it is the normal and occurs in the majority of cases. How big of a problem depends on the type of surgery done and the state of the eyes before surgery. You should have been made aware of this before surgery as temporary double or permanent double vision is always a potential risk.  In some cases double vision can be a good thing at least for a short period of time. You should discuss this with your surgeon.
