inner corner of eye socket polyp?

I am trying to research a growth that is like a polyp.  It is in the inner corner of my eye. In the fold. It is small (seen easily on magnifying mirror) and is stalklike, polyplike, and has a small patch of darker color, and some small tiny white pollen like dots on parts of it.  Anyone know what this is?

Doesn't affect my vision that I can tell. I am 53 years old.  Did have sunburn to the sclera 25 years ago or so from long sailing trip without sunglasses. Other eye unaffected, nothing in that corner.  I do have eyelashes that seem to grow out of this corner spot which seems odd too.

The tear duct is not in that area. You might be able to use Google IMAGES and use "eye caruncle tumors" and see something.

that is not a substitute for see an Eye MD

Thanks so much for your thoughts.  If you would be so kind a couple more quesitons.
Is there a book/or online site where I might see a photo, or learn more about possible treatments, that would be such a help. I have been watching it for years. It is not slow growing, but is now changing a bit.  Small area of dark spots, and these tiny white circles riding on the surface (2 or 3) puzzle me.

Is it clogging the tear duct too?

Thanks so much!

The lesion needs to be looked at by an Eye MD ophthalmologist to be sure its not a malignancy. More likely its a benign growth of the carruncle (that piece of tissues at the very inner corner of the eye). Find one at www.aao.org
