Question!

So my husband wants to start trying again for another baby, I was wondering if there are certain positions or anything I can up the chances for a girl, so far I read to have sex for a few days and stop 3 days before I ovulate because the male sperm are faster and die off quicker so there is a chance there is more female sperm because they are slower and last longer.... Anything else I can do to up my chances?

No proof but when you think about our chemical makeup it makes a lot of sense that pH and other controllable factors may make a difference. Google conceive a girl and you will find lots. "Girl" sperm prefer acidic. So possibilities for increasing chances for a girl would include shallow penetration, no female orgasm, sex 3-4 days before ovulation, and lowering your pH (make it more acidic). What you eat probably does matter. Cranberries are good. You can find lists online. I also read for girls high calcium and magnesium and low sodium and potassium. We're trying to persuade towards a girl but will be thrilled with a healthy baby either way.

An ultrasound tech told me this...the male sperm are fast but die quicker..the female sperm are slower but live longer...she said after sex if you want a girl don't stand up..stay in bed and cuddle .. Don't even go clean yourself off. If you want a boy, after sex stand up and move around..stay standing. I have 1 girl and 1 girl on the way. I clearly remember after both time standing up..peeing..wiping..going right back to bed. The ultrasound tech was trying for a boy and stood up and did dishes or something after each time.  She now has like 3 boys and 1 girl. Idk how true this is or if it works. But next time I'm trying for a boy! Lol. Good luck!

I don't remember where I read it, some kind of medical journal when I was doing school research, but I read that if he ejaculates close to your opening (not deep) the girls have a better chance of surviving.  Supposedly male sperm are faster and if deposited farther up, there is a greater chance of a boy.  There's also something about the acidic/basic nature of the opening that female sperm thrive better in.  Hope this helps

Its all about how many sperm he produces with the female chromosome. If hes farely even then its a 50 50 chance but he could carry all of one chromosome or more of one. Its honestly a game of chance no position temperature amount of times you have sex or anything else you might read is going to increase your chances of having a girl. Its all about which sperm gets there first

This might sound crazy and its prob not accurate, but u read somewhere that a female orgasm makes it more acidic (in there) and the male sperm are more likely to die quicker. So if your husband orgasms and ejaculates before you then its more likely to be a girl... this is NOT scientifically proven but i read it and we tried it and i got the girl i wanted.. unless my hubby only makes girls!

Ha! Well he has a brother but he has a daughter from his ex so I know he's capable of spitting females lol thank you!

If you ask a doc they will tell you no. The only way i know of for sure is to do the infertility treatments where they take sperm and egg, mix together, test them, then implant only the females. But this takes a while and is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. Did his dad have all boys? Or was it a mix? The chance of you having a girl is higher if dads father and/or grandfather had more girls than boys. But if both are only children there is really no way to know. And this isnt always true as my ex gave me one boy and one girl but his dad produce 4 boys. So it's all just a crap shoot
