Blood or tomato?

I have red in my bowel movements...Generally I get 5 a day and the red does not show up until the 3rd one...it is not bright red spots like hemorroids, it is a red color in the potty.  I have been anemic and am taking iron forever.  Still, my tests show that I am on the lowest border of iron levels..I thought the anemia was from constant female bleeding, but I have not done that now for 7 months.  I just have to wonder if it is maybe from my daily V8 drink...could that be the red? Does that make any sense?

I would make an appointment to see a doctor.  I do not think V8 juice would do that to the extent that you can see that much red.  I assume you are checked regularly just due to being anemic.

Do you think ulcerative colitis can do this? I have been diagnosed with it before.

If you have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis before, then it could be your problem.  When was the last time you were examined for this?  You should be following up for this problem periodically.  Like I said, make an appointment to be checked.  IT will ease your mind once you see a physician.  You have a few problems going on there, and you probably need something to help with the relief of whatever these symptoms are.
I just went for a colonoscopy that I kept putting off for sometime now.  Everything turned out good and normal.  I still have stomach problems, but at least I know its not anything serious.
