If this appears twice - sorry - just getting used to how to use this site. I need some help from anyone out there in the know. Having had right quadrant pain for many years. The doctors finally decided that my gallbladder was at fault. it was removed in Feb 2013. The pain did not disappear following a lap cholecystectomy. Having been back to the hospital on several occasions since this procedure, usually as an emergency, where I have been fobbed off and made to feel like I was some kind of freak, rolling around on the bed or trying to find a suitable position to put myself in to alleviate the pain, in desperation I sought a second opinion from doctors in Oxford. They performed a couple of other tests, even though I had been told that I had had everything done - they have now told me that I have Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction. Can anyone out there help with advice on what I should eat or anything I can do to ease the pain when it comes on strong. I am taking nortryptyline, buscopan and a GTN spray and have some oromorph on hand for when it is really bad to see me through for a while until my next appointment. Please help!
