That would be a better question to ask your doctor. You can also try asking that in the celiac disease community.

Yes, the best way to diagnose crohn's disease is with a colonoscopy.
oh joy !! i just want to be fixed haha xx so i guess the only way to see this is a camera ?? xx my family are so sure its crohns as they have all been through this but they were daignosed with a camera right away , my gp says this is the normal route no bariums then ct then camera , doesnt seem very cost effective for the nhs to me xx thanks again x
Probably not, but a CT scan can show many other things.
ahhh thanks not got back sooner i have been bit off , i am having a ct scan on friday , will that show very mild crohns ?? xx
It could be chrons, I would recommend considering a colonoscopy.
so all looks normalish then , GP is heading towards crohns with my symptoms and blood tests , i see a gastro tomorrow , im just trying to get these images printed tonight to take with me ??? xx
It doesn't look like inflammation to me, but then again I'm not a professional. I think you should see a gastroenterologist as opposed to a colorectal surgeon.
thanks glas ileum area is ment to look diffent i was wondering if the fluffly bit could be a bit of inflammation , i definatly dont think i have anything big wrong maybe just some unhappy bowels
im going to the consultant on tues but u get about three mins with them before they say ibs !!! im just been negative because my last experience with a colorectal surgeon was like this he didnt even sit down lol x
Your ileus is supposed to look different than the other parts. You should really talk to your doctor about this.
gosh im sooooo dippy , i thought it had uploaded the fill small bowel enema file , but it hasnt i have put a few more images of the small bowel enema on now rather than just the tube dangling in my tummy !!! xx
al thoughts gladly acepted
ooop ment to add i have just had these two tests done and bloods x
super thats , good , my symptoms have been going on since may and are blood loss, weight loss, dia , pain after eating , non stop lower right side pain, low protien and low iron levels and a blockage on descending colon ..... diagnosis ibs ??? why does that area look more fluffy and less smooth than the other bits ?? is that part made up differently ?? xx
thanks really glad of the comments xx
I am "untrained" however in my opinion, that is totally normal and that is how it is supposed to look.
What was the written report that came back on the images and why were you having them done in the first place? What types of issues are you experiencing/symptoms? What other tests have you had done?
hi i think i have uploaded it here somewhere < anyone who would like to comment would be great , if its in the wrong place could you point me in the right direction xx thanks again for getting back
hi thanks for getting back , the actual uploading isnt an issue its jus where or what site to upload them too ,i would like anyone to look at them give any sort of idea ( eg untrained and trained eye ) my family and i feel we can see something on this but are not sure xx
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! You should be able to scan them into your computer and then upload them like any other picture. What opinion were you looking for.
