Dark stool after constipation

I’m a 41 y/o make. Friday morning I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. They gave me pain meds in the ER and sent me home with Percocet. It gave me horrible constipation. I took stool softeners and finally after 4 days started having some BM’s. To me it looked black in the toilet but on the TP it looked more dark brown. Can constipation or pain meds cause this? I do have a history of an ulcer but it almost never affects the color. Color is usually a light to solid brown.

Hello~Sometimes certain meds can cause this. Since this isn't normal for you, I would ask your GP.
