ARS

Hi
Im worried about a possible exposure last year and the symptoms that followed. I experienced

1. muscle spasms not aches like cramping all over the body for a couple of days (3weeks after      exposure)

2.sore bones like internal dull aches inside the bone (all large bone) and then creaky joints around
the hips for a couple of weeks on and off (same time as above)

3.A week later my underarms felt swollen, no lumps and to this day sometimes feel sore

before these syptoms appeared i was working with drains and had an open cut in my hand could i have picked up a bacterial infection?

I never had fever, rash, sore throat. i did feel malaise on and off had some night sweats in the second week had some underarm swelling but couldnt feel lumps. the exposure was a one time vaginal intercourse with a supposedly hiv+ woman. do u think i merit testing im really scared of facing the result.

The majority of the symtoms came and went over a three week period and not all at once. i had sore underarms for ten weeks before they felt better.

Does this sound like ARS?

Al

I have been reading some of your replies to other forum users and say this to you Remember the first weeks you were infected the panic and anxiety YOU went through you've lost compassion you' can get your view and it is only your view across without being rude and blunt.
No doubt you will reply to this but i have and many others have formed an opinion of YOU!

Take Care try to help with more of a caring attitude then you will become a great help

You had a risk, you collect your test result. There are no short cuts or ands and buts.

first of swelling of lymph nodes doesnt cause pain in ars.was the intercourse protected ?none of your symptoms suggest ars. if you are sexually active than once a year you should be checked for std including hiv
