Why some people say 6 month for a conclusive test?

Hi, I m from Greece ,male 23 years old,I have posted another question some days ago..Happy new year to everyone and all the best in 2010.Anyway , I had sex with a girl without protection (only vaginal sex,not oral at all).I have done an antibody test(6 weeks) and two antigenp24/anti hiv 1,2 DUO tests (in 3 and 7 weeks) ,all negative...I know it's not conclusive and I m looking forward to my 12-week conclusive result, but as I read in other posts this is very encouraging(about 99% ,DUo test in 6 + weeks)...Am I right?????
I have two more questions, the first is:I have a cough since the days I had sex with this girl,no fever,or anything else, just cough...It's nothing veeeery serius but it's a 2-month cough of course!!!!it's unusual...Is it possible this cough to  be something like early Hiv symptom?

My last question is , why some sites or doctors saying that the only conclusive result is in 6 months??Because I have read the articles of some doctors here in "MEDHELP" and all of them say that the conclusive result is in 3 months (and in 6 week almost conclusive...)Why is that so huge difference between doctor's opinions???Thank you and apologize for my bad English:(

3 months is conclusive.  Use condoms from now on, I should say.

Of course I will...I always use condoms but you know..sometimes it happens....is it true that the test I have done are almost conclusive?(Of course i will test again.,..but you know, for the peace of mind....should I  relax with a negative duo test at 7 weeks?)
And what about the people who say for 6 months conclusive tests,it is only that they didn't up to date as Teak said before??Thanks...

Symptoms aren't a reliable indicator of HIV.  Just get tested at 3 months for a conclusive result.  Use condoms when you have intercourse from now on.
