Am I infected?

Hi,

I went to strip club 2 days back and when she was dancing she suddenly opened up my penis and tried to insert into her. I was drunk and couldn't say no. it was about 1-2 mins and I am pretty sure that I did not fully insert because I did not feel it and also did not find any fluids on my penis after when I went to restroom and cleaned up my penis with water and soap. How ever I saw my penis abrasion because of previous lap dances on my pant, so my concern is am I infected because of penis abrasion? Should I take PEP? Please help.

Thanks,
Mike.

Your risk was pretty low to begin with, but doing PEP for the required 28 days will lower that risk to virtually zero. But it is VERY important that you do the whole 28 days for it to work. It's not always easy but it's better than living with HIV for the rest of your life. Please stick with it.

I wish you the very best outcome and hope you'll keep us updated.

thank you Ruby. I got PEP with Truvada for a month course.Doc did STI test after 12 hours of exposure and it came back as negative. Based on what I described what is the risk of getting HIV?

Since you are still within the 72 hour window period for PEP, go to the ER and discuss this possible risk with a doctor.
Being drunk and not remembering can be risky.
