Birth control pills and HIV test

Hello. I would like to know if these pills have effect over hiv test and more specifically over production of the antibodies since its written that supress and stress the immune system. I started to take them 12 days after my last unprotected exposure for the first time. So , I did HIV ag/ab test on day 24, which is early, I know, but would it be kind of accurate on day 28 despite the pills. Thank you in advance.

NO. Birth control pills have no effect on HIV tests.

Unless you are on chemotherapy for cancer, there is no concern about the accuracy of HIV tests.

I had unprotected sexual contact several times with a man (I am a woman) , the last one was more than 3 weeks ago. He said he had tested and sent me a pic from internet, but I prefer to be sure on my own as well, as long as we are not couple.
That is a good idea. Just test at the right time to know your status for sure.
