Hello, I had a scissor cut at the base of my penis, about 1cm wide while trimming my pub. It was not deep but the laceration created a hole in the skin, could be because of the nature of the skin in that area where the skin is not stretched.

The day after I cut myself, I had protected vaginal sex with a CSW but the cut at the base of penis was not covered by the condom. The cut was not bleeding but certainly did enter the entrance of the vagina.

Am I at risk for HIV?
Do I need testing?
Can I still have unprotected sex with my wife?

Thank you for your help and guidance. I am extremely anxious.

This is a no risk situation. The only risks for HIV are to have unprotected vaginal or anal sex or to share IV needles to inject drugs. Air inactivates the virus so a cut at the base of your penis would not be a risk. Only the head of your penis needs to be covered. You do not need to test and yes, have sex with your wife.

Thank you GuitarRox, just to calm my anxiety, even if there was vaginal fluid on my cut and if the cut ENTERED the vagina, the risk would still be considered negligible???

Thanks for your help.
no risk. That's all. Already answered.
Thank you GuitarRox
