2 weeks post possible exposure- will rapid test show anything??

Hi there, good afternoon.

I was wondering... I am now 2 weeks after a possible exposure, if I go for a rapid hiv test is it absolutely too early to detect anything or will a negative today at least be a positive sign i.e. do rapid tests at 2 weeks perhaps only detect 50% of new infections?? Or should I just wait for the 28 days to pass?? Thanks for any guidance you can help me with.

Hi Vance, I was just looking around to see where I can take that test, I'm in south florida, and I found a website "stdcheck.com" and it claims that I can pay them $175 for an fda approved early detection test "Our FDA-Approved HIV RNA test can be taken after 6 days of exposure and conclusively detect an HIV infection as early as 9-11 days after exposure." https://www.stdcheck.com/std-test-pricing.php

Do you know if this is considered really legit??
