HIV QUESTION TO THE COMMUNITY

Hi, I had tested negative for HIV this past Jan 30,2010. And ever since, been using condom for every sex act. Now I have read a lot of forums, both community and doctor's forum that HIV cannot pass through latex. I even read Dr. HHH, and Dr. Cook saying condom protected sex is safe sex. With Dr. HHH qouted " No unprotected penis inside anus or vagina, no HIV risk". "And condom sex in virtually 100% against STD that transmit to genital secretion". But my question is I also have read a lot of articles with people who do have multiple partners, who consistently, and correctly use condom was advise by the DRs to get tested for HIV and STD's. Is this a conflict with there advice? Now I am now confused to why it was advise, since most of you would agree that condom sex is safe sex. Is this due to taking good care of one's self or there might be a possibility that you might get infected? Mayb you guys can shed some enlightenment with this queries. Because now , i am getting anxious that there might be a chnce i myb infected, despite my condom use for everysex act. And now considering to get tested again. tnx in advance

The doctors recommend "routine testiing" for HIV and STDs for all sexually-active people, regardless of reported condom use. An annual test is recommended if you have more than one sex partner in the past 12 months.

There are people who don't use condoms correctly and/or consistently, may discount unprotected exposures for various reasons, etc. despite reporting otherwise. It is safer to just test somebody for HIV/STDs than solely relying on accounts of their behavior, even if it means testing people who are not at risk for them. At least, that is my interpretation as to why these universal recommendations are in place. And don't forget that some STDs are spread by skin-skin contact and oral sex. It is just safer to try to cover every possible scenario by testing all sexually active people.
