HIV through mucous membranes?

"Transmission risk is very high when HIV comes in contact with the more porous mucous membranes in the genitals, the anus, and the rectum, which are inefficient barriers to HIV"

Is it very easy for the virus to get through the head of the penis?
I ask this as i had just been circumcised before my exposure, and the head had never been exposed until 5/6 weeks before.
It was quite sensitive at the time.

Would i have had an increased risk due to this?
