I developed Strep throat now at around 3.5 months. Doctor says it is strep throat as he checked with the camera. He didn't test for it though.
I am really worried that it might be due to HIV and i am seroconverting now.
Please suggest, do i need further HIV test at 6 months or now?
Anxiety is messing with your mind.
I've been there.
The internet can give confusing information as I've read both scenarios.
What is a fact is antigen peaks at 28 days.
You tested 29 days, excellent.
You tested again at 86 days and 84 days concludes the window period.
If you were hiv infected your first test would have been positive for antigen and possibly antibodies too.
Your second test would have detected Antibodies.
The Drs who used to post here have not seen an 8 week negative turn positive.
You have every reason to trust your results.
Hi. It's my understanding that p24 can become undetectable without the development of antibodies.
A quick search is telling me 6 weeks.
However, your first 4th generation at 29 days is around the peak of antigen levels.
Your second 4th generation test is conclusive for antibody detection.
Below is a link, in the answer part please read "5".
It should help you trust your tests results.
