HIV and risk of ORAL SEX

Hi Everybody,

I came across a CDC website, which seems to be one of the reliable websites in terms of information on HIV. Please read the following:

http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/qa/qa19.htm

Not only they say oral sex is not safe, but also they say "yes, you can get infected from oral sex". Can someone comment on this? Why we get different information on this topic? Who is right?

The CDC have to be very conservative about this, but recent studies carried in Spain and by the Univ of SF, showed that there wasnt a single infection that can be blamed on oral sex, with more than 2000 serodiscordant couples, and with more of 40000 blowjobs, you should now that the CDC also says that hiv positive people shouldnt share thootbrushes and no one have ever being infected that way.

The receptive oral sex trasnmission is just a theorical risk, there is not a single documented case of trasnmission through it, and the cases that said that trasnmission occur while giving a blowjob are very rare and with tons of doubts over it. so for practical porpouses blowjobs are safe.

I have read 90% of the posts in this forum. I am not going to debate anything here. If you look at every single post in this forum, the answer to this question is "NO RISK". I am just asking what is the reason for different opinions? Who is right? That is the only thing I want to know. Perhaps this is not clear and that is why there are HUNDREDS of posts about the same question.
