Overactive Imagination?

I have a quick question for the forum. I suffer from severely dry skin, to the point it cracks and bleeds, mainly on my hands. This includes the fingers, palms and of course the top of my hands which are the worst part. My question is, is there a risk to HIV from opening doors and handling things others have used? I go to college, so I'm opening doors and things another  couple thousand people have opened before me on an average day. My logical sense tells me I'm being ridiculous but the the small irrational "what if" feelings is what brought me to ask my question. So, if someone here could shed some light on whether this is a valid concern or I just need to drop it, I'd appreciate the confirmation.

Thanks

(2) no one has been identified as infected with HIV due to contact with an environmental surface. Additionally, HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions, therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.
