Risk Of HIV by touching the Fresh Blood ( contain HIV)

Hi Expert,

Please help to access my son risk:
My son ( 4 years old), after back home from kindergarten, I detected that his hand & his snail got a lot of blood ( already dried and difficult to clean).
I asked the teacher what happen, but she said she did not notice anything and don't know why he got that bloodstains on his hand.

I'm very worried because that blood may contain HIV.

So based on your experience, is there a risk of HIV infection? ( if that blood is fresh and contains HIV when my son touch it)

Thank you so much.

The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

The only additional risk for infants is consuming breastmilk from an HIV-positive woman.

You cannot get HIV from touching blood or by touching any environmental surface.  Even if your child had cuts or scrapes on his hand, blood outside of the body is not a risk.  Children do NOT get HIV unless they are injected with a used intravenous needle, or unless their parents were HIV+ at the time of conception.
