Reactive in screening test for hiv
hello guyz! just wanna share my problem and hopefully can get a satisfied answers from you guyz.. i was tested for an screening test for hiv and it was found reactive..im kinda confused coz i never did anal or vaginal sexand never taking drugs through inject before but only oral sex i did and i was the receiver and i did not perform oral sex. Now, actually i have fungi that i brought for many years but now it doesn't really itchy..i never take any antibiotic and only ointment. My question, do you think it was my fungi problem detected in my blood and that caused of reactive result? do i have virus for fungi in my blood? now, i am waiting for my confimatory result. Hiv tests often show false positive. So the lab will not confirm it is hiv unless they follow up with a western blot test
