Risk of HIV after fingering with semen

Hi,

I had a sexual encounter where a gay man introduced a finger with some of his semen (a couple of minutes after ejaculating) in my anus. I don’t know the HIV status of this person. I’m aware fingering is considered low risk to nil of HIV infection, but I was just wondering in this specific case if I should be worried.

Thank you so much

The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

You cannot get HIV from anyone's hands or fingers - not your hands/fingers, not anyone else's hands/fingers, even if those hands/fingers have blood or semen on them.

If in doubt, re-read items 1 and 2 listed above.

You had ZERO RISK for HIV.  There is no information you could add to this event that would make it a risk for HIV.
