Safety of female+male condoms

Dear Doc
I am a man. I had sex with a female sex worker. She always uses female condoms. Apart from that, she told me to use the male condom. So sex was with both condoms. I would like your expert opinion on these questions:
1.- Is it safer in regard hiv and othe STDs to use female+male condoms?
2.- In case the girl uses the female condom, is it recommended to use water-based lubricants so that both condoms do not break?
Thank you very much

Hi iro_branco, the sex worker told me that in case the male condom made of latex breaks, the female bcondom made of polyurethane can be fine (it is unlikely that both condoms break at the same time). Moreover, according to information about the female condom, this can protect against some STDs better than the male condom. So, further comments by people using both condoms would be nice.
Thanks

Sex with 2 condoms is definitely no recommended, because it increases the chance for both of them to break out of friction. So make sure you only use 1 condom, either male condom or female condom, either one is effective to prevent HIV if used correctly and consistently. And yes, water-based lubricant is recommended for all types of condoms.
