Used Syringe ICTC

Hi,

I read a similar question posted by another Indian. I tested HIV negative 93 days after exposure. In fact, I had no exposure and the risk was non-existent, I was told in this forum as well in my another question. Now, I fear that the syringe was reused to test me. The guy opened the needle before my eyes but the syringe was already placed in his hands. Are syringes reused (in India ICTC)? Is changing a needle enough to prevent transmission? Are used syringes risk? And Am I at risk?

You cannot give her something you don't have. If she is feeling unwell she needs to see her doctor.

Or Lizzie Lou,

My fiance and I had unprotected sex four days after the test where I suspected that a used syringe was reused. Now, it was 18 days for her since yesterday. She has fever, sore throat, one sided headache, pain in facial muscles and possibly skull. Tiredness, fatigue, nausea, pain in muscles or joints throughout her body.

I remain pretty symptom free for the past few days except for a swollen lymph node under my jaw. I had it felt before it became swollen. I felt it numerous times. What worries me is her symptoms. Are they suggestive of HIV ARS? I eat away quite well stuffing whatever I get along the way but she has lost her appetite. If not ARS, what could they possibly be? If ARS, well, are they ARS symptoms? I hope they are not. I am very worried for her. I love her more than I love myself. Somebody please help with a quick reply.

Thank you Teak!

So you mean to say that the testing also will not cause it? Not by my previous (non)-risk exposure but could this testing (used syringe) cause the disease? I don't have HIV but will I, after this testing? Sorry for taking your time once again but hope this is my last.
