3 months post exposure is when you can obtain your conclusive negative test result.
Yeah, that's what i've heard too. I'll need to wait till 5th june now (3 months).
OMG i'll try to survive till then.
I suffer from OCD a little bit, and i had all the symptoms. But the consecutive negative tests are calming me down.
I think the result it's unlikely to change, cause the tests were all 4th generations, and the cut-off value of the last one (2 months) was pretty low (0.16). What do you think?
Thanks for the reply Teak!
I don't make guesses on HIV.
I want to talk about probabilities, not guesses.
From my lack of knowledge on the subject i think that at two months the C/O value is more likely to be closer to the cut-off point.
But i'll have to wait anyway to get peace of mind. This is just to try to relief my anxiety a little bit since i'm staying 24/7 in front of my computer researching about HIV, even when i'm at work.
But thanks!
You can receive your conclusive test result 3 months post exposure.
One thing that i read is that the average window period after HIV virus infection is 25 days.
3 months is some kind of general range, to exclude the possibility of a misdiagnosis.
I think a 63 days (actually 9 weeks) HIV test its very unlike to change, despite all my symptoms, that can be due to stress and anxiety.
I'll take the 3 month test cause otherwise i'll not sleep, but i'm much more confident that the result will be non-reactive.
Hey Guys!!!!
