Hello
About a month ago I found a pocket knife and I figured I'd keep it... Anyways, I accidentally gave myself a papercut and I noticed there was some brown spots on the knife. I figured that is probably rust, but isn't blood also a brownish color? Anyways, what I'm asking is if the knife once had fresh blood that was HIV positive, would it still be alive and contagious? I had a tetanus shot like 3 years ago so rust isn't a concern for me, but is there any chance at all of getting HIV? I don't wanna be paranoiac, but I guess I am a little and I'm also just curious. Doesn't HIV die rather quickly outside the body, and dried blood cannot contain HIV? So even if there was fresh blood with HIV on the blade, I would be fine cause it would have been dead. What about Hepatitis? Would that be killed too?
Thank you.
