Risk factor

Hi There Doctors;

I have been reading through the forums and I would appreciate a response to one of my questions (warning..may contain some explicit language).

I am a male, and recently I went home with a man that I met at a bar.  We began fooling around and I noticed that he was using his pre-*** to jerk me off and for some strange reason I also had some precum on my penis hole and he began mixing his with mine on my penis hole.

I thought this to be extremely strange and left as I always use safe precautions in encounters and I would like to know what would be the risk factors for this?

For:

1) Recieving a hand job to climax with the other man using his pre-*** as lub.
2). Him placing his pre-*** on my open penis hole (as I had precum there as well). If he was infected and his semen was infected is this a way for exposure?

What are my risks? Also, thankfully there were no cuts on my penis, but but if there are bloody cuts on one's penis (if oral is also taking place during this process and the teeth cut some of the penis skin) and then the partner places his precum/semen to jerk off the other? Could the semen/possible cut be a form of exposure?

Thanks...just wanted to double check these things!

First, the stats for UNPROTECTED anal sex, it is approx 1 in 100, but that is irrelevant in your situation.

Your encounter posed absolutely NO risk to you whatsoever, as it falls into the category of mutual masturbation, which never leads to transmission.  Of course during these types of activities, it is totally normal to have exchange of genital secretions...that doesn't pose any risk.  Also, the presence of small cuts, abrasions does not cause a risk either.  In order for transmission to occur, unprotected anal or vaginal sex is necessary.

So, in a nutshell (no pun intended, lol)...you had no risk with no need to be tested, or to worry at all.

just to add on, 2 weeks after this incident I got the flu, was very sick and am just beginning to feel better. From reading this forum, I know the flu is not a indicator of HIV infection, escpecially since it is flu season.

Also, the other thing I wanted to ask was that I was reading around the boards and I read somewhere, that there is a 1 in 10000 chance of getting HIV if you were the reciepient of anal sex with an infected top.  I am not too sure if this is true or if I misinterpreted what I read so please clarify.  Thanks
