how long will hiv remain active or contagious in a body fluid outside the human body?

Teak, just out of curiosity - would the urethra be considered inside or outside the body in regards to where hiv can survive/reproduce/be infective?
Could it inhabit that area or would that be too exposed?

It doesn't. HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

No one can answer that question--it depends on many factors.The amount of viral load,the amount of blood,semen,vaginal fluids,etc.
