HIV Anxiety Over Blood/Needles

Hi I had what you would call a no-risk case. I made out with two women in Late January 2010 and became very sick around 2 weeks later with lymph nodes, neck pain, nausea, night sweats, etc. Now I have  I don't remember having a fever. Although everyone tells me this is no risk, I can't seem to get over m anxiety, and I'm starting to think that it was in the realm of possibility that I was pricked by a needle that night or that one of the girls was bleeding from her mouth and I hadn't noticed. I am too afraid to get tested and become the first person in history to get HIV from kissing. Someone please help me, any support is appreciated, Thanks!

Thanks for your speedy reply Lance. I'm just so paranoid because even though I understand kissing is no risk at alll, I still think it was in the realm of possibility that there was a needle on a couch and i might've sat on it when I was making out with this girl. I don't remember feeling anything, but my mind keeps telling me I have HIV while the odds are overwhelmingly in my favor that I did not get HIV from sitting on a couch and a needle with HIV injecting it into my vein. I feel like I have major anxiety and it is debilitating. I can't go 15 minutes without thinking about HIV. I got a random bruise yesterday and I have no idea where it came from so naturally I freaked out and thought this was a sign of HIV from my "exposure"

I would get an OraQuick test but I am afraid to death of getting a false-positive and I would hate to take one of those tests that take a week to return. Do you have any recommendations?

You have what everone with knowledge of HIV would call a no-risk situation.

You do not need to get tested but you do need to see a therapist to help you confront and deal with your anxiety.

If no one in the world has gotten HIV from kissing in well over 30 years it is very irrational to think that you would be the first. It is also irrational to think someone poked you with a needle.

This forum can do no more for you and advise you to seek a therapist or post in the anxiety forum.
