At 28 days, but because it has an antibody test with the antigen test it is also valid for that 10th+ week, actually probably 6+ weeks.
Okay.. GOT IT.. .
Is 4th generation duo hiv test conclusive at 28 days only or it is conclusive after 28 days too?
Like at 10th week
11th week 12th week 13th week or any week
Only real possibility is from chemo or recent organ transplant, but todays sensitive tests really negate that out.
Thanks vance...
So it's confirmed that hepatitis C or B or anything has nothing to in delaying antibodies against HIV
Reread what Howard wrote, it gives you any answers you want.
If positive, combo would of detected both before antibodies and/or the antibodies.
If your 9 week combo is conclusive then of course the 14 week one should be too.
Thanks a lot for your very appropriate answer.
As I can't ask hepatitis C related questions here My only worry is that window period. Assume that I got infected with Hepatitis C on that same exposure.
1. Will that not dealy hiv window period?
2 . If I test again at 14 weeks with combo test and if the result is negative Do I need any father test to confirm?
3.If some is already hepatitis C positive from past few years or months will he also produce detectable antibodies at 3 months from his last exposure ?
4 . Can hepatitis B virus delay hiv antibodies?
This are queries please answer. .. I will not irritate again.. ..
There are no illnesses or health conditions that delay HIV antibodies. Anyway, you had a combo test, so you were tested for both antibody and for HIV p24 antigen. That test is 100% conclusive any time 4 weeks or more after exposure. You definitely do not have HIV and don't need any additional testing at 13 weeks or any other time.
As for HCV, contrary to popular opinion it is rarely spread by heterosexual sex. The only proved sexual transmission of HCV is between gay men who have traumatic (bloody) anal sex practices.
So all is well. You don't have either virus. You can move on without worry about either of them.
Good luck and stay safe!
