I just had an echocardiogram and was told I had stage 1 diastolic dysfunction in the left ventricle. He did not tell me anything to do about it other than to have another echocardiogram in a year. My blood pressure is normal and I have not had a problem with high blood pressure. I am T2 diabetic but my a1c was 5.9 and I control it with a low carb diet. No meds. All he suggested was that I monitor my blood pressure. Is there anything else I need to be concerned with? Will this progress? Can it cause other problems? Do I need to be more concerned? Any information on this would be helpful.
On the positive side, the fact your doctor said all you need do for now is watch for change, is good news I think.
